Miss Anna Mae Benson, 84, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, April 17 at Reid Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1928 in Lynn to Paul and Dorothy Frazier Benson and was a 1947 graduate of Lynn High School. She enjoyed a career as an operator with General Telephone in Richmond and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Richmond.
Miss Benson is survived by 2 brothers, Franklin Benson, of Hermitage, PA and Bob Benson, of Richmond; 1 nephew, Gregory Benson and several cousins.
Miss Benson was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Alice Louise Benson and 1 brother, Carl Edwin Benson.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Mike Rhodabarger at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 20, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in New Liberty Cemetery near Lynn.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday, April 20, at the funeral home.
