Barry Donald Baker, 72, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, April 27.
He was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on October 4, 1941 to Lewis and Bessie Clark Baker. He worked most of his life as a casket welder and carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his younger days, he liked to hunt and always enjoyed spending time walking in the woods.
Donald will be missed by his wife, the former Judith Hill; daughters, Alice Sullivan and Tricia Burns & her husband, Ray; grandchildren, Daniel Sullivan, Darren Sullivan, Darrick Sullivan, Veronica Conner and Ronnie Conner; great-grandchildren, Blake, Tyler, Abigail, Dominic and Elizabeth; sisters, Pearl Howard, Sarah Cox and Mandy Smith; and several nieces & nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, in the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, and 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, at the funeral home.
