Barbara Hartman

Barbara J. Hartman, 88, of Richmond, formerly of Whitewater, passed away on Wednesday, August 23 at The Springs of Richmond.
   She was born on January 4, 1929 in Richmond to Clarence and Leta Chenoweth Snyder, both of whom preceded her in death. She married William H. “Bill” Hartman on November 6, 1953. They were blessed with three children and 58 years of marriage before his death on March 19, 2012.
   Mrs. Hartman was a member of the Centerville Christian Church and a former member of the Whitewater Christian Church. She was a lifelong resident of Wayne County and formerly worked in the accounting department at The Graphic.
   Mrs. Hartman will be missed by her daughter & son-in-law, Gayle & Doug Claywell; sons & daughters-in-law, Garry & Ruth Hartman and Garth & Cindy Hartman; grandsons, Will Claywell and his wife, Jennifer; Ben Claywell and his wife, Lauren; and several nieces & nephews.
   Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Larry Snyder.
   A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Terry Cochran at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26 at the Whitewater Christian Church. Interment will follow in Goshen Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, at the church.
