Barbara Officer, 79 passed away Monday, July 30 at Golden Living Center Golden Rule.
She was born December 21, 1938 in Cleveland, Tennessee to Robert and Madge (Trew) Officer.
She moved with her family to Tracy, CA in 1943. Barbara graduated from Austin McCollum High School in 1957 and after graduation she attended the University of Corpus Christi in Texas. Barbara worked as a secretary for Riverside Baptist Church and San Diego First Baptist Church after her college graduation. Barbara began working for Puppet Productions in CA and when the company moved to Dallas, TX she followed working as their Office Manager for 30 years before retiring. After retirement, Barbara moved to Fountain City in the fall of 2009 to be with family.
Barbara is survived by 3 nieces, 1 nephew, Cousins Billy E. Trew, Joyce (Trew) McDonald, and many other first cousins, and her lifelong friend Rossi Rodillas from CA
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Dorothy Kentner.
At Barbara’s request, there will be no calling or services.
