Bentley F. Shelton, 75, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015.
He was born in Livingston, Kentucky on November 2, 1939 to Boston and Martha Phillips Shelton. He graduated from Richmond High School and later served in the US Army from 1963-65. He formerly worked at IRC&D Trucking, where he was mechanic supervisor. He was also a Freemason.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Monica & Steve Herning and Angela & Jon Hornung; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Davis, Louise Mellinger and Shirley Hazelwander; brother, Harold Shelton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Sherry Shelton and Vickie Shelton; sisters, Gladys Craig and Ethyl Hudson; brothers, Bob Shelton and Lonnie Shelton.
A graveside ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17 in Willow Grove Cemetery.
