Mrs. Betty Harshman, 88, of Lynn, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, March 6.
She was born March 27, 1923 in Ansonia, Ohio to William and Emma Thomas. She was a graduate of Ansonia High School. She was united in marriage to Ernest C. âPeteâ Harshman on September 22, 1941. They raised 2 daughters and shared 63 years of marriage before his death on August 26, 2005. She was a member of the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church
Mrs. Harshman will be missed by her daughters & sons-in-law, Jodell & Ralph Pierce, Centerville; Jackie & Dick Webb, Fountain City; 4 grandchildren, Tim Pierce, Tory Pierce, Chris Ozbun and Cindy Stroup; 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; half-sister, Charlene Borden, of Ohio; half-brother, Gail Teegarden, of Ohio and several nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Harshman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Voke and brothers, Charles, Bob and Rollie Thomas.
A graveside ceremony will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in the Spartanburg Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Meek officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 am â 1:00 pm on Friday, March 9, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
