Mrs. Christeen Brown, 87, formerly of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday, August 10.
She was born on December 25, 1928 in Richmond to Walter E. and Ruth Hoover Mikesell, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Whitewater High School and Earlham College.
Mrs. Brown was formerly a secretary at Perfect Circle. She taught English at Williamsburg High School. She later was a sales representative for Leiters Designer Fabrics and sales director and representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was a member of West Richmond Friends Meeting. Mrs. Brown was a member and Past President of Tri Kappa Sorority, Delta Zeta Chapter; Past Vice-Chairperson of the Wayne County Republican Party and a member of the Dayton, Ohio Kennel Club. She always enjoyed a round of golf and was a member of Forest Hills Country Club, Richmond Women’s Golf Association and the Eastern Indiana Women’s Golf Association.
Mrs. Brown will be missed by her husband of 65 years, Robert F. “Bob†Brown; daughter, Lora Brown Money; sister, Martha Mikesell Wood, one niece and three nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
