Christina Anne Desonie “Socks”, 40, of Centerville, passed away on Thursday evening, November 2, following a courageous fight against cancer.
She was born on September 5, 1983, in Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of Daniel & Dianna Stevens. Christina was a 2002 graduate of Richmond High School. She worked in the medical field and was formerly employed by Reid Health. She was also a certified rbt along with tons of her other jobs she worked throughout her life.
Christina enjoyed sharing her talented singing voice and dancing along with her love for the outdoors, she was an avid fisherman and hunter. Christina enjoyed riding her motorcycle and was always willing to help the needy any chance she got. She absolutely loved fish sticks! She was always ready for a shopping trip and loved to travel. She was also a mega Notre Dame football fan. Christina made every room light up when she walked in with her beaming smile.
Christina will be missed by her husband, Travis; daughters, Celeste Stubblefield and Kaydence Coates; son, Charlie Craft; grandchildren, Kalyjah Thompson and Kamiya Thompson; mother, Dianna Stevens; sisters, Wendy Durnye, Tammi Conley and Denise McDaniel; brothers, Dale Kidd, Scott Stevens and Markus Stevens.
Christina was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Stevens; sister, Sherri Stevens; brother, Mark Stevens; aunt, Beverly Pancake.
Family & friends are welcome to attend a memorial visitation from Noon-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11 at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. following visitation.
