Mrs. Dorothy Viola Hall, 98, of Richmond, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 1 at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester.
She was born May 2, 1912 in Richmond to James Riley and Mabel Gray Harris. She was a farm wife and homemaker and formerly employed by Belden and later by Pasco County High School in Zephyr Hills, Florida. She was a former member of the Fountain City Wesleyan Church, where she was a member of the Kitchen Band. She was a member of Chapelwood Baptist Church in Winchester.
Mrs. Hall will be missed by her son, Ralland Hall and his wife, Dixie, of Winchester; daughter, Violet Barker, of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil P. Hall, in 1978; daughter, Donna Brown; son-in-law, Wilbur Barker; 3 sisters, Frances Hall, Emma Deiser and Irene McConkey; 1 son, Harold Hall.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Bro. Russell Fraley at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Earlham Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5, at the funeral home.
