Edward C. Ragains

Edward C. Ragains, 70, a former Williamsburg resident, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 8, in Pryor, Oklahoma.


He was born July 29, 1939 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Arthur Perry and Cora Hauser Ragains. He was married to the former Anita Mae Ferryman and they were blessed with three children. The Ragains were members of the Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene while living in the community. They moved to Tennessee and later located in Oklahoma. He was a carpenter.


Mr. Ragains will be missed by his wife, Anita; son, Dale Edward Ragains and his wife, Dianna; daughter, Tammy Sue Shelley and her husband, S.M.; 6 grandchildren, Eric, Stifan, Bethannie, Crystal, Tiffany, Hannah; 3 brothers, Sanford Ragains, Dean Ragains, and Paul Ragains.


Mr. Ragains was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Marie Ragains, on November 25, 1977; his parents and 2 brothers.


Mr. Ragain's life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.


Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at the funeral home.
