Frank Tanner

   Franklin E. Tanner, 59, of Mitchell, Indiana, passed away at 3:19 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Sellersburg Healthcare Center in Sellersburg. 

   Frank was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 27, 1964, to the late Franklin Tanner and Rosella Shearer Vanwinkle. He was of the Baptist faith, and a retired service manager for Kentucky Truck Sales. Frank enjoyed music. He loved to play his guitar and sing karaoke with friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors by hunting and fishing every day if he could.

   Frank is survived by his children, Kayla Tanner, Michael Tanner, Cherish Tanner and Brian Carriger; brother, Greg Tanner; sister, Dana Root; and stepfather, Arnold Vanwinkle.

   Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vance Vanwinkle.

   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 Fountain City, IN 47341.
