George G. âBoogâ Halcomb, Jr., 41, of Lynn, passed away Saturday, March 11, in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 11, 1975 to George Sr. & Debra Caldwell Halcomb. He was a 1993 graduate of Randolph Southern High School and earned an Associates Degree from ITT Technical Institute. He worked in construction doing hotel renovation for American Renovation. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
George will be missed by his children, Dustin Landers, Brayden Halcomb, Kaitlyn Halcomb and Brianna Halcomb; his parents, George, Sr. & Debra Halcomb; sister, Mechalle Schafer and her husband, Matt; maternal grandparents, Jean & Bob Harrison; aunts, Madeline Halcomb, Linda Bowling, Shirley Smith and Cathy Caldwell; and numerous cousins.
George was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hoodie & Victoria Halcomb; maternal great-grandmother, Irene Tarkany; aunts, Kandis Ayers and Rose Clark; uncles, Farley Halcomb, Hoodie Halcomb, Jr.
Ray Ellis will celebrate Georgeâs life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, March 17, at the funeral home.
