George L. "Tom" Coyner

Mr. George L. “Tom” Coyner, 75, of Lakeland, FL, passed away at home on Saturday, October 30, 2010.

Tom was born in Teays, WV on November 7, 1934 and moved to Lakeland from Richmond in 1998. He worked for many years as a tool & die maker with Ahaus Tool & Engineering in Richmond.

Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jenna Coyner, of Lakeland; daughter, Karen (Keven) Hurd of Richmond; brothers, Ray Coyner of Hagerstown; Bernie (Luanne) Coyner of Lakeland; grandsons, Roger Sams, Jr. and Mike Collier; great-granddaughters, Kaylee and Abigail Sims; and his nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, L.H. and Goldie Coyner; and brother, James.

A memorial ceremony will be conducted by Pastor James Girdley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at the Centerville Baptist Church on Mattie Harris Road.
