Mrs. Jane Winters Stamper, 77, of Pershing, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016.
She was born on February 15, 1939 to Glen and Esther Golay Kochersperger, both of whom preceded her in death. She worked in the office of the former Wayne Works and Alcoa and later owned and operated the Swappinâ Shoppe. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed attending garage sales, auctions and solving crossword puzzles.
Jane will be missed by her daughter & son-in-law, Julie & Dennis Thomas; daughter, Sandra Spencer; son & daughter-in-law, Jim & Betty Winters; step-daughters & sons-in-law, Toni & Matt Lyczak and family and Dawn & Steve Alyea and family; grandchildren, Bobby (Liz) Thomas, Amy (Jeffrey) Mullin, Justin (Huimin Chen) Spencer, Shelby Winters, Zachary Winters and Mackenzie Winters; five great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Hofmann; sisters-in-law Donna (Richard) Longer and Cathy (Phil) Farris and several nieces & nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James E. Winters; second husband, Ralph Stamper and step-son, Mark Stamper.
Janeâs life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. â 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, at the funeral home.
