Janet Sue Moore

   Janet Sue (Smith) Moore, age 79, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in her home.

   Janet was born on November 7, 1944, in Soldier, Kentucky, to Burl and Celestie (Tate) Smith.

   Janet enjoyed a long and successful career as a real estate broker in both Indiana and Florida. She was an avid supporter of Northeastern basketball for the past 43 years and enjoyed watching her grandchildren in all of their activities. Janet also cherished the time she spent with friends and family going on trips and lunch dates.

   Survivors include her sons, Doug Ross of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brent Ross & his wife, Julie, of Richmond, Indiana; two grandchildren, Merissa Ross and Brody Ross; sisters Arlene Jenkins and Earlene Wandersee; and many friends, nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Lloyd Moore, who died September 17, 2017; parents; and siblings, Hazel Goins, Ithel Reed, Justeen Feaselman, Betty Dees, Carl Smith and Revia Cull.   

   A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
