Jay Jordan

Jay Jordan, 60, of Lynn, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, February 23.
   He was born in Randolph County, Indiana on May 11, 1957 to James L. Jordan and Rita J. Anderson Bash. Jay grew up in the Spartanburg community and was a 1976 graduate of Randolph Southern High School.
   Jay had formerly worked at Kaber Fiberglass in Lynn for 20 years before taking a job with Union City Assembly, where he worked for 6 years. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed racing go-karts. He was baptized in the Spartanburg Christian Church, where he was a member.
   Jay will be missed by his wife, Debra Heniscey Jordan; daughter, Amanda Jordan; son, Jamie Jordan and his wife, Magan; his father, James L. Jordan; grandchildren, Carley, Jayden and Skylor; his siblings, Sandy Dalzell and her husband, Ralph; Jim Jordan; Jerry Jordan; Susan Price and her husband, Ron; and several nieces and nephews.
   Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Rita J. Anderson Bash; mother-in-law, Phyllis Hedrick and father-in-law, Carl Wayne Hedrick.
   Pastor Brian Richmond will lead a celebration of Jay’s life at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, in the Spartanburg Christian Church, 6714 East 700 South in Spartanburg. Interment will follow in Spartanburg Cemetery.
   Family & friends may gather for visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, at the Spartanburg Christian Church, 6714 East 700 South in Spartanburg.
   Memorial contributions may be given to the Spartanburg Christian Church.
