Jesse Martin

   Johnathon James “Jesse” Martin, 27, of Williamsburg, passed away on Monday, October 29 on his family’s farm.

   Jesse was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 20, 1991, to John B. III and Linda S. Mayberry Martin. He was a 2010 graduate of Northeastern High School, where he was very active in the FFA Chapter.

   Jesse farmed his entire life and was the 6th generation of his family to work the land and livestock of Long Lane Farms. Jesse’s childhood dream of becoming a dairy farmer was realized on October 24, 2012. He was extremely proud of his implementation of organic production methods.

   Jesse will be missed by his parents, John B. III & Linda Martin, his special companion, Haley Hicks and her children, Case, J.J. and Mia; sister & brother-in-law, Amanda & Matt Bedel; brothers by choice, Randy Duvall and Stephen Shaffer paternal grandparents, John B. II and Jimmie Hunt Martin; aunt, Debbie Crim; cousins and many friends.

   Jesse was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty and Jay Mayberry; his grand-Godparents, Jim and Marie Miller and an aunt, Kathy Zurcher.

   Family & friends may gather for a memorial visitation from 4-6 pm on Sunday, November 4, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
