Joan Lester

Mrs. Norma Joan Lester, 76, of Williamsburg passed away Monday, December 10, at Heritage Regency in Richmond.


She was born September 7, 1931, in Milton, Indiana, the daughter of Linville P. and Emma L. Culbertson Wissler. She was a 1949 graduate of Whitewater High School. She was a homemaker and was employed at Hill's Floral Products for 14 years. She was a faithful member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church.


Mrs. Lester is survived by two daughters, Clara Alice Kaucher, Lynn and Diane Runyon, Richmond; two sons, Richard "Rick" Kaucher, Richmond and Jeffrey Kaucher, Williamsburg; one brother, Bill Wissler, Richmond; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.


Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Carl Harvey Kaucher, on May 6, 1980; second husband, Harry Ralph Lester, on October 9, 2004; and one son, Kenneth Allen Kaucher, on February 12, 2007.


In keeping with Mrs. Lester's wishes, a public graveside ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Jim Guard at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, at the Williamsburg Cemetery.


No visitation is planned.
