Joan Turner, 92, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Willows of Richmond.
Joan was born in Snow Hill, Indiana on September 5, 1932 to Howard C. “Bus” and Lydia A. Howell Radford. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School. She lived all of her life in Williamsburg and Richmond.
Joan was a homemaker and also worked as an Emergency Room Admitting Clerk at the former Reid Memorial Hospital, from where she retired. Joan and her husband, “Buster”, were avid travelers. They rode through almost all 50 states on their motorcycle. Joan loved her family greatly and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Rodney & Susan Turner; grandsons. Tyler Brockman, and Jamie Brockman & his wife, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Paxton and Brixton; brother, Jerry Radford; niece, Lynn Steins & husband, Pete; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George “Buster” Turner; brother-in-law, Jack Ridge; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ridge; sister-in-law, Sue Radford; and nephew, J.D. Radford.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, at Greens Fork South Cemetery, 4130 North Mineral Springs Road, Greens Fork.
