Jolene Creech Lanter, 44, passed away on Monday, January 3 at Reid Hospital.
She was born January 12, 1966 in Richmond, Indiana to Ray E. and Jo Ann Faddis Creech. She grew up in the Fountain City area and attended Northeastern High School. Jolene married Reagan Lanter on August 20, 1983. She was employed at Boulevard Animal Hospital in Richmond the past 6 years. She attended Ministries of the Lamb Church in Richmond. Jolene enjoyed working in her yard. She was an animal lover and especially liked her dogs. She loved crocheting and made many blankets to share with Riley Hospital for Children. In 2002, Jolene received the gift of life with a kidney transplant and paid her gift forward as a tissue donor herself.
Jolene will be missed by her husband, Reagan Lanter, of Webster; daughter & son-in-law, Danielle & Monty York, of Lynn; parents, Ray & Jo Ann Creech, of Webster; 1 sister & brother-in-law, Jenny & Randy Duvall, Fountain City; 2 grandchildren, Leah Elayne York and Monty Wayne Briar York; her dog, Opie; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jolene was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Eugene Creech, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Kermit & Sally Crech; maternal grandparents, Ernest & Alice Faddis.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, at the Fountain City Wesleyan Church, 5600 US 27 North, Richmond. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, January 7, at the church.
