   Judith R. Wooden, wife of Rev. Kenneth J. Wooden, died April 6 at her home.
   Judy was born May 3, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana to Robert F. and Ruth W. Slick Ferris. She is a 1963 graduate of Fountain City High School and a 1964 graduate of Richmond School of Cosmetology. She married Kenneth J. Wooden on November 17, 1963 and was married for 47 years. Judy owned and ran her own beauty shop for 13 years.
   Judy attended Faith-Trinity and Boston United Methodist Churches. She is a 25-year member of the Fountain City Chapter #552, Order of Eastern Star. She was a Homemaker, School cook at Walnut Elementary School in Montgomery County and the Avon Elementary School in Hendrix County. She was a Preschool teacher at Miss Sherry’s Small World Day Care in Terre Haute for 2 years. She worked at the Dietary Dept. at Morristown Manor Nursing Home in Morristown, IN, retiring in June 2010. Judy was a Pastor’s wife for 34 years after her husband went into the ministry in 1977. She was a Sunday school teacher. She was a foster parent for 27 years in 5 counties in Indiana. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
   Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Rev. Kenneth J. Wooden; three sons and one daughter, Kenneth R. Wooden, wife Joan of Lexington, KY; Keith G. Wooden, wife Susie of The Woodlands, TX; Judith Kathleen Biddle, husband Jeremy of Normal, IL; Thadius A. Wooden, wife Deborah of Acton, IN; six grandchildren, Laura and Lynne Grace Wooden of Lexington, KY; Joshua and Madison Wooden of The Woodlands, TX; Jillian and Jolie Biddle of Normal, IL; two sisters, Joyce Hutchison, husband Don of Wilmington, Delaware; Jean Howell, husband Scott of Oxford, Ohio. Aunts and an Uncle and nieces and nephews and cousins also survive Judy.
   She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Christina Marie Wooden and a grandson, Tuvyah Alexander Wooden.
   Her hobbies were sewing and crafts, reading and gardening and cooking. She enjoyed sharing her love of nature, gardening and cooking with her children and grandchildren.
   Calling will be at Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home in Fountain City on Friday, April 8, from 5-8 pm. Services will be at 11:00 am at Faith-Trinity United Methodist Church, 2900 West Main Street, Richmond on Saturday, April 9 with Rev. Ida Easley officiating. Burial will be in Webster Cemetery in Webster, IN.
