Mrs. Karol K. Taylor, 84, of Fountain City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, November 27, at Forest Park Health Campus.
Mrs. Taylor was born on May 29, 1939 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of William & Mabel Irene Troutwine McClure. She was a 1957 graduate of Spartanburg High School. She was united in marriage to Bill Taylor on July 17, 1959.
Mrs. Taylor worked 50 years as a dairy farmer alongside Bill and her family. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens season after season. She was a faithful member of the Bethel Christian Church, where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday School teacher. She was proud of her 37 years of perfect attendance in church.
Mrs. Taylor will be missed by her husband of 64 years, Bill Taylor; daughters, Judy Meyer & husband, Steve, Peggy Hieger & husband, Duane, and Linda Wynn; eight grandsons, Jon Meyer, Greg Meyer, Mike Meyer, Danny Hieger, Curtis Hieger, Tom Snowden, Jerry Snowden and Brad Snowden; 16 great-grandchildren, Katelynn Meyer, Wyatt Meyer, Weston Meyer, Will Meyer, Walker Meyer, Emmalynn Meyer, Aldous Meyer, Quinn Meyer, Ethan Meyer, Ellie Meyer, Jessa Snowden, Addisyn Snowden, Gabriella Snowden, Christopher Snowden, Wesley Snowden and Emmer Snowden; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hendricks, Betty Shreves & husband, Dick, Mary Ellen Williams and Melba McClure; and nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded by her parents, grandson, Nick Snowden; and brothers, Jim McClure and Billy McClure.
The Taylor family would like to thank the many friends, staff and caretakers at Forest Park and AseraCare Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, December 1 at Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home. 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
Casual attire is requested.
A funeral ceremony will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, with burial to follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are encouraged for Bethel Christian Church, c/o 10618 Elliott Road, Fountain City, IN 47341 or Wayne County 4-H, 861 Salisbury Road North, Richmond, IN 47374.
