Kathryn Stegall

Kathryn "Kate" Myrtle (Tremps) Stegall, 85, former resident of Centerville and Fountain City, went to be with Jesus on Monday, August 3, 2009. She graduated from Greens Fork High School. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, and baking, but most of all loved to be surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Belmont (Bill) Stegall, parents, Floyd and Ethel (Jackson) Tremps, sister, Phyllis Hollingsworth and one great-grandchild, Alissia Michelle Ramos.

Kate is survived by two sons, Larry Stegall and Billy (Lori) Stegall, all of Fountain City; brother, Robert Tremps (Pat), of Centerville; ten grandchildren, Jenny Stegall, Jasmine Stegall, Crystal Lacy, Mika Stegall, Abby Lacy, Vince Stegall, Alana Norman, Zach Norman, Heaven Stegall, and Faith Stegall; five great-grandchildren, Chandler Toney, Nevaeh Wharton, Kiery Toney, Diego Carpenter, and Michael Koontz.

Visitation for Kate will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home in Fountain City. Funeral services will be immediately following the visitation, with the Rev. Kevin Shindoll being asked to officiate. Interment will follow in the Willow Grove Cemetery, Fountain City.
