Kip Coates, 52, of Richmond, passed away at his home.
Kip was born on November 28, 1961 in Richmond to Bill and Karen Schultz Coates. Kip graduated from Northeastern High School in 1980. Kip studied at Purdue University and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He graduated from Purdue in 1984 with a Bachelorâs Degree in Electrical Engineering and immediately began a career at Belden in Richmond, where he was a member of the 25-Year Club.
Kip enjoyed the love and support of his family, being a loving Uncle to Kayla and Molly, and the love and support he received from his Greens Fork Christian Church family. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing trips to Canada and a good round of golf. He also volunteered at Help The Animals in Richmond.
Kip will be missed by his mother, Karen Bryan (Duane); father, Bill Coates (Brenda); brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Carolyn Coates; and nieces, Kayla and Molly Coates.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 21, in the Greens Fork Christian Church, 116 East Pearl Street (State Road 38). Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery near Greens Fork.
Family & friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 amâ1:00 pm on Thursday, August 21, at the church.
