Lawrence âLarryâ Harrison, 87, passed away April 8, 2012.
He was the beloved husband of Norma Harrison for 65 years; loving father of Steve (Mary) Harrison, Tim (Kathy) Harrison and L. Len (Mary) Harrison; proud grandfather of of 7 and great-grandfather of 2.
Larry was predeceased by his sister, Peg Myers and brother, Nelson Harrison.
Larry was fond of hunting in Western Michigan and enjoyed the game of golf. He and his wife, Norma attended Covenant united Methodist Church in Daytona Beach, FL. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War Two, where he flew the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber. Larry retired to Daytona Beach from Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was the chief engineer of the Spicer Axle Division. Larry was a caring person and will be deeply missed.
A memorial ceremony will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
