Marilyn Thomas

Mrs. Marilyn P. Thomas, 87, of Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, February 12 at her residence.
   She was born on February 4, 1930 in Richmond, Indiana to Herbert S. and Mildred O. Mahan Jacobs. She was a faithful member of Chester Community Church. She worked early in life as a clerk at Reid Memorial Hospital before becoming an insurance agent. She also worked as a cashier at the former County Market for 13 years. She enjoyed reading and, when her health allowed, playing golf and boating.  
   Mrs. Thomas will be missed by her husband of 36 years, Clyde H. Thomas, whom she married on February 1, 1981; three daughters, Claudia Thomas, Ann Thomas and Ellen May and her husband Tim; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew.
   Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Joe Kessler and two brothers, Bill Jacobs and Eddie Jacobs.
   Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, with a celebration of life beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
