Mary Jane Frazer

June 22, 1940 — January 25, 2010

Mrs. Mary Jane Winters Frazer, 86, of Williamsburg, passed away Monday, January 25 at Golden Living Center Golden Rule in Richmond.

She was born October 6, 1923 in Wayne County, Indiana to Harry Albert and Rena Mary Livensburger Winters. She attended Williamsburg High School and was a lifelong resident of Wayne County. She married Paul Frazer on June 22, 1940 and they raised two children together.

Mrs. Frazer was a homemaker and was retired from ALCOA after 23 years of service. She later worked part-time at Weckerle with her sister, Maxine. She retired in 1984 to travel with her husband. She also enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Frazer will be missed by her husband of 69 years, Paul Frazer; her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Ruth Frazer, of Williamsburg; 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Frazer was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Diana Sue Frazer Martin, in December 1972; 3 sisters, Violet McNally, Frances Vail and Maxine Null; 2 brothers, Albert and Clarence “Doc” Winters.

A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Bill Parrish at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 31 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, at the funeral home.
