Matthew Smith

   Matthew Smith, 29, passed away on Wednesday, November 22 in Danville, Kentucky, where he had lived for the past several months.

   Matthew was born in Richmond, Indiana on March 11, 1994, the son of Brian L. and Angela S. Perry Smith.

   Matthew attended Northeastern High School. He was a free spirit with a loving heart. He enjoyed the little things in life. Matthew loved spending time with family, music, playing his guitar and video games.

   Matthew was a proud father of Ariyel and Azalea Smith and a loving uncle to Braylee, Ava and Nash Smith. He is also survived by his parents, Angie (Don) Rader and Brian (Rebekah Hunt) Smith; brother, Brandon Smith; companion, Jennifer Sargent-Holt; maternal grandmother, Nancy Garland; paternal grandfather, Dennis Smith; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

   Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tommie Perry; and paternal grandmother, Mary Smith.

   Matthew will be laid to rest in Willow Grove Cemetery.

   A Celebration of Life will he held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, at The Historic Meeting House at New Garden, 1334 New Garden Road, Fountain City.

   Memorial contributions are encouraged for the charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
