Mike Martin

Mike Martin, 68, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, November 30.

Mike was born on November 19, 1953 in New Castle, Indiana to Albert “Dick” Jr. and Paralee Fox Martin. He grew up in the Williamsburg area and was a 1972 graduate of Northeastern High School.
Mike formerly worked at Atlas Plastics. He later attended Earlham College. He was a chef at Reid Hospital for several years. Cooking was one of the things Mike enjoyed but he enjoyed feeding people even more. He would light up any room with his conversation and could always make people laugh. Mike was a very giving person, often in very quiet ways. He enjoyed gardening and had grown to enjoy visiting casinos.
Mike will be missed by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Martin, whom he married in March 1991; daughters, Heather Durham, Sarah VanGaasbeek, Megan Patterson & husband, Michael; Kayla Hickman & husband, Brett; son, David See & wife, Sarah; 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; sister, Pam Sowers; brothers, Bill Martin and Tony Martin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Joan Donovan and Sharon Parrish; brothers, Jerald Martin and Jerry Martin.
