Mike Williams

 Mr. Robert Michael “Mike” Williams, 67, of Richmond, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on Thursday, December 12, at Reid Health.

Mike was born on December 17, 1956 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Junior & Kathryn Johnson Williams. He was a 1976 graduate of Northeastern High School. Mike enlisted in the US Army in 1977 and served his country for 16 years in Germany, South Korea and several posts around the US. He attended the Williamsburg Friends Church. Mike enjoyed woodworking, going to auctions and picking at flea markets. He was an avid fisherman, and would take along his fishing poles wherever he went to wet a line in any lake, pond or channel he might stumble upon. 

 Mike will be missed by his partner, Kathy Tomlinson; brothers and sister, Jon Williams & wife, Mitzi, Richard Williams & wife, Patricia; Barb Osborn & husband, Jeff; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

 Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 36 years, Jennie Pollard Williams.

 Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17. in Williamsburg Cemetery. The Wayne County Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
