Pamela Helton, 68, of Fountain City, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 15.
She was born on January 15, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio to Jimmie and Vernis Delph Lipps, both of whom preceded her in death. Her father was a career soldier in the US Army, which offered her the opportunity to live around the world while growing up. She learned to speak Japanese before learning to speak English.
Pamela was the office manager of Trueblood Oil Company. Her family was her everything. She also enjoyed the menagerie of pets she kept as well as cross-stitching and reading.
Pamela will be missed by her children, James Helton and his wife, Elizabeth, Matthew Helton, and Sarah Helton Bell and her husband, Jason; grandchildren, Cheyenne Helton Becker and her husband, Ryan, and Shalie Bell; eight-week old great-grandson Jerek Becker; and brother, Heyward Lipps and his wife, Meryl.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Bro. Johnny Shepherd, Jr. at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, August 18, at the funeral home.
