Paul Pierson

   Mr. Paul E. Pierson, 80, of Richmond, passed away on Friday, March 24 at Reid Health.

   He was born in Richmond, Indiana on November 24, 1942 to Ralph & June Heath Pierson. He was a 1960 graduate of Richmond High School. He married the former Madeline J. Short on August 8, 1964. They were blessed with three daughters and 53 years of marriage before her death on February 17, 2018.

   Paul was a US Navy veteran. He retired from Dana, where he formerly served as Vice-President of UAW Local 1363. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and studying science.

   Paul will be missed by his daughters, Holly Preston and her husband, Randy; Paula Shook and her husband, Rick; Kari Koons; grandchildren, Madeline Brooke Lawrence and her husband, Ian, Courtney Cain and her companion, Jesse, Devon Powell, Kelcee Koons and companion, Christian Ricker; great-grandchildren, Lillian Tiller, Quinten Cain, Brayden Cain, Kacie Hinshaw, Addelyn Cain; his great aunt, Velma; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Paul was preceded in death by his wife, parents. granddaughter, Amber Preston; great-granddaughter, Nova Powell; sisters, Mona Jean Pierson and Sandra Kay Hart; brothers, Ronald Pierson and Jim Pierson.

   At Paul’s request, no public services were held. A private graveside service was attended by his immediate family in Willow Grove Cemetery, Fountain City.
