Richard William âDickâ Wise, 81, formerly of the Economy and Williamsburg area, passed away on Monday, May 29.
He was born in New Castle, Indiana on December 2, 1935 to Leonard and Frances Mae Beard Wise. He farmed and was also a carpenter, having worked for Oberle and Delucio & Sons. He enjoyed driving antique tractors, visiting with his family and eating. He also enjoyed using his carpentry skills to build things for his family.
Dick will be missed by his brothers, Phillip (Ada) Wise, Robert (Trudy) Wise, and Carl (Sue) Wise; sisters, Patti (Charlie) Hall, and Sharon Davis; son, Richard; daughter, Amy Oakley; grandchildren, Wayne, Sarah, Michael and David; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jean Copeland, and brother, Freddie Wise.
Family and friends may gather for a memorial visitation from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, June 2, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US Hwy 27 South, Fountain City.
