Rob Orrill, 58, of Fountain City, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Monday evening, August 19.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 11, 1965 to Terry L. & Linda S. Turner Orrill. Rob was a 1984 graduate of National Trail High School, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team.
Rob worked as a foundry pattern maker and mold maker for many years at Muncie Casting, where he was currently serving as Quality Manager. He had many interests in his spare time. His creativity continued at home, where he enjoyed woodworking and building furniture. He enjoyed playing golf, tinkering with his Ford 601 Workmaster and riding his motorcycle as well as spending time on his pontoon. His Dad was a favorite fishing buddy prior to his passing in 2016. Rob loved his dogs and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Rob will be missed by his wife of 38 years, the former Francena Corum; his mother, Linda Orrill; son, Justin Orrill and his girlfriend, Bri Buzard; brother & sister-in-law, Tim & Lisa Orrill; sister & brother-in-law, Tracy & Brett Beare; brother-in-law, Jeff Corum; and nieces & nephews.
Family and friends are encouraged to gather for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City.
A Celebration of Rob’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment in Willow Grove Cemetery.
