Mrs. Rosetta Bryant, 86, of Fountain City, passed away Wednesday, July 24.
She was born May 2, 1927 in Livingston, KY to John and Mag Hellard Williams. She was united in marriage to Glendon E. Bryant on January 11, 1947. They were blessed with 2 sons and shared 58 years of marriage before his death in 2005. Mrs. Bryant was a faithful member of the Sylvan Nook Church of Christ. She was a homemaker who loved spending time around her home with the birds and flowers that surrounded her. She enjoyed sewing quilts, collecting dolls and reading from her collection of books.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, David & Joyce Bryant, of Fountain City; 3 grandchildren, Amy Bryant, Kevin Bryant and Laura Bryant; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Bryant and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Glendon E. Bryant, Jr. in 1968; 3 brothers and 4 sisters including Louise Farthing, who lived in Richmond.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by John Hollis at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from Noon-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the funeral home.
