Shari Daugherty

Shari Sue Daugherty, 42, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at her home.


Shari was born October 28, 1966 in Richmond to Gary and Cindy Cline Farmer. She lived most of her life in Webster. Shari was a 1985 graduate of Northeastern High School and earned an Associate Degree from IVY Tech in Richmond. She married Darrin Daugherty on Oct. 18, 1994.


Shari was devoted to her family. She was always there for her boys to cheer for them and their teams. She shared her love for children at Noah's Ark Day Care Center in Richmond, where she had worked the past 18 years. In her spare time, Shari enjoyed playing badminton outdoors and games on her Wii. She also enjoyed reading.


Shari will be missed by her husband, Darrin; 2 sons, Dillon Daugherty and Devin Daugherty, both of Webster; her parents, Gary and Cindy Farmer, of Webster; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Jody and Rick Asher, of Lexington, Kentucky and Miki and Aaron Shewman, of Winchester; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Julie and Beau Townsend, of Richmond; sister-in-law, Melissa Daugherty, of Cambridge, Ohio.


A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Maples and Joe Farmer at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Webster Cemetery.


Family and friends may gather for visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted to fund a scholarship in Shari's memory through the Northeastern Dollars for Scholars, 7295 US 27 North, Fountain City, Indiana 47341.
