Sharon J. âGigâ Lipscomb, 69, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 23.
She was born in Williamsburg on November 16, 1944 to Shirley F. Sr. and Lavada âMarieâ Kelley Duke. She was a 1962 graduate of Williamsburg High School, where she was a cheerleader.
Sharon had worked as a secretary at the former Lipscomb Enterprises and at D & M in Richmond. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and the companionship of her pets. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, solving crossword puzzles, gardening, growing flowers, knitting and crocheting.
Sharon will be missed by her daughter & son-in-law, Amy & David Strain; son & daughter-in-law, Lee & Tracy Lipscomb; grandchildren, Jerrad, Hayley, Madison, Joshua, Ashlyn and Justin; nieces Victoria Mead, Heather Hardy and Tara Rains.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Shirley F. Duke, Jr.
A memorial ceremony will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City, with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
