Sue Bockhofer

Mrs. C. Sue Bockhofer, 71, passed away on Thursday, November 27 at Reid Hospital.


She was born August 30, 1937 in Richmond to Elmer L. Brown Sr. and Mary L. Schroy Brown. She graduated Centerville High School in 1955 and married John E. Bockhofer on September 7, 1958. She was a farm wife and homemaker in the Fountain City area before moving to Richmond in 1996. She enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening, reading and cooking.


Mrs. Bockhofer will be missed by her husband, John E. Bockhofer, of Richmond; daughters, Beth Weatherly, of Richmond; Lunetta Akkerman, of Columbus, Ohio and Amy Bockhofer, of Pickerington, Ohio; her sons, David Bockhofer, of Lynn and John H. Bockhofer, of Union City 5 grandchildren, John Weatherly, Kristin Weatherly, Jessica Terhaar, Jacob Ryan Bockhofer and Matthew Bockhofer; 2 great-grandchildren, Wyatt Sawyer and Westin Sawyer; 1 sister, Cora Poynter, of Richmond; 2 brothers, Elmer L. Brown, Jr., and Jerry DeLauro, both of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.


Mrs. Bockhofer was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Steve Brown and Mike Brown.


A graveside ceremony will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, in Willow Grove Cemetery.
