W. Paul Crowe, 74, of Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 20 at Reid Health.
Paul was born on May 7, 1941 in Kentucky, the son of Martin and Marie Fletcher Crowe. He graduated from Fountain City High School in 1961 and was proud to have been a part of the basketball team.
Paul worked at Richmond Gear for 25 years before taking a position at Wellings Toyota, where he stayed until retirement. He coached his sonâs Little League teams in Fountain City for 14 years. Paul enjoyed his fishing trips with family and friends. He was devoted to his Bible study and shared his ministry reading to nursing home residents and witnessing for Christ.
Paul will be missed by his sons, Jay Crowe and his wife, Cecilia; Mitch Crowe; Rod York and his wife, Debbie; Todd York and his wife, Pam; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Trish Greenwood and her husband, Bobby.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 35 years, Barbara Baumer Crowe in 2011; and his grandson, C. Paul âLittle Paulâ Crowe in 2005.
Visitation for Paul is scheduled from 12-3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at the Bethesda Worship Center, 2200 Peacock Road in Richmond. A homegoing service will begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by interment in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City.
