Mrs. Zula Scott, 93, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, June 28.
Zula was born on July 23, 1930, in Lenoir City, Tennessee, the daughter of Wilburn P. & Sarah Trifena Smalling Williams. She was united in marriage to Russell J. Scott (Scotty) on December 24, 1948. Their union of almost 60 years was blessed with 4 children.
Zula was a broker with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate in Richmond, where she was recognized as a top annual producer and Realtor of the Year on numerous occasions. She attended Lifespring Wesleyan Church; she was also an avid reader.
Zula will be greatly missed by her daughters & sons-in-law Betty & Mark Widau of Richmond, Marilyn & Bill DeWitt of Richmond and Debbie & Steve Cox of Fishers; grandchildren Joe Widau, Randy Widau, Jennifer Brokamp, Debbi Brokamp, Erin Kirkpatrick, Angela Scott Thompson, Ashley Hamilton, Laura Devine and Jason Cox; step-granddaughter, Monica Gingerich; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Bradley and Wilma Kirkland; and several nieces & nephews. She will also be missed by her dear friend, Brenda Stover.
Zula was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell; son Gary; grandson Christopher Scott; 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.
A private burial will be held for the family.
